Apollon Ladies crowned Women's Cup Champions for the 14th time, securing another domestic double
Apollon Ladies have claimed the Women's Cup for the 14th time in their history, completing yet another domestic double.
In the Cup final held at AEK Arena, Apollon Ladies secured a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over Omonia Nicosia, in front of hundreds of fans from both teams.
Elina Panayiotou opened the scoring in the 43rd minute, but Apollon Ladies equalized in the 85th minute through Grosicka. The decisive goal came in stoppage time, with Steffi Hardy sealing the 2-1 victory and the trophy.
It was an exciting final, broadcast live on Cytavision with the support of the Cyprus Football Association (CFA).
The trophy presentation for both the champions and runners-up was conducted by Lena Panayiotou, a member of the CFA Executive Committee.
Steffi Hardy, who scored the last-minute winner, was named the Most Valuable Player of the match.
